Whether she's played by Alice Krige or Susanna Thompson, the Borg Queen, hands-down. Rarely do I so vehemently hate a character not because of who they are in context of a story, but for how they poison a narrative. She was idiotic in FC, and FC (and the concept of the Borg) were still good despite her IMO. Partially because I got to believe that Picard snapping her spine meant she went bye-bye for good. Scorpion seemed to support that. Oh, I wish.

Dishonorable mention goes to Diana Muldaur as Katherine Pulaski (show always listed her as a guest star, not a main, so). I always liked Crusher, so Pulaski was an unwelcome change in S2 already. She came off as really crotchety and had this pissy attitude about Data that got very old. She wasn't awesome like McCoy about it. She came off as just being a bitch.

I enjoyed Diana Muldaur as Dr. Pulaski. Her attitude toward Data was a welcome change to the 'everyone is cool because we are all perfect in the 24th century' mantra.

John DeLancie (and his son) are fine actors and pleasant people to meet, but I cannot stand the character.

Well, even with at his most racist McCoy at least had the propriety not to question Spock's actual personhood... It wasn't that I minded seeing a character espouse these hateful views--conflict is good--but she was permitted to go way too far because Data lacked a capacity for self-defense in that regard and no one stepped up to tell her to just stuff it.

I'll agree with John de Lancie. Not his fault, but Q sucked post All Good Things. Even "Death Wish," which could only have been salvaged if Charles Bronson had actually played one of the Q. Q should never have been involved in Voyager--or DS9. Or QPid. WTF was up with that?

I actually liked QPID. It was intended to be a lighthearted episode, about romance of all things (alien to some trek fans as it is) so..I liked the inclusion of Q there.

And to tie in with Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, which was out around about the same time!

Someone mentioned Crosby, and I partially agree. Tasha Yar always struck me as a somewhat... flat character. And while I thought it was a silly way to bring her back, I actually kind of liked Seela.

Seska. Her & any of the other recurring Kazon simply never seemed like villains worthy of the Voyager crew.

Shakaar was very dull.

There were a few that started out good but suffered toward the end:

Q was great through all of his Next Generation (including "Qpid") & DS9 appearances. "Death Wish" was also very good. I enjoyed Q's sexual interplay with Captain Janeway in "The Q & the Gray" but the episode really neutered the Q Continuum as a whole. "Q2" just plain sucked. No wonder Brannon Braga rejected this episode 3 years in a row.

Gul Dukat was great until that final shark jumping moment when he merged with the Pagh'wraiths in "What You Leave Behind."

I liked Alice Krige as the Borg Queen but there was that sexual x-factor that was sadly missing from Susanna Thompson's performance.

For me, Q was already getting tiresome during Encounter at Farpoint.

The Borg in general jumped the shark during I, Borg. I never wanted to see them again after that.

And I hadn't thought of Lwaxana, but yeah, they ran that character into the ground too.

Q started off alright, but Damn did they over use him! It simply became his yearly requisite visit. With only a couple of exceptions, I wasn't crazy about him.

Lwaxana Troi, should have been a one time appearance. However, with her more serious appearances, I kinda liked her.

Bariel on DS9. Sorry, I found him a little dull.

I'm not sure how Diane Muldaur fits in. Is she really a guest star? I mean she was on the damn show for a whole year, and was even in the cast photos. It was TNG's version of Jonathan Harris getting "special guest star" billing for every single episode of Lost in Space.

I will duck behind cover first, but I would have gone without Whoopi Goldberg.

Q was great... on TNG. Not so much anywhere else.

Lwaxana Troi was also great... on TNG. Not so much anywhere else.

Some of DS9's supporting players didn't do much for me. Vedek Bereil, Shakaar, Tora Ziyal, Grand Nagus Zek, and most of the other Ferengi who appeared from time-to-time... meh.

Seska and Cullah were mediocre villians, at best. I actually thought Seska was more interesting BEFORE she was outed as a Cardassian.

Seska, because at least she had a brief moment (at the very beginning of Voyager, before I saw what they were going to do with her) where she was welcome. Otherwise, I'd say Admiral Necheyev - but she never had a welcome to wear out.

I thought she was great as Dr Miranda Jones in "Is There In Truth No Beauty?"

Gul Dukat was great until that final shark jumping moment when he merged with the Pagh'wraiths in "What You Leave Behind."

Certainly not Marc Alaimo's fault.

I liked Alice Krige as the Borg Queen but there was that sexual x-factor that was sadly missing from Susanna Thompson's performance.

I love Alice Krige - she is a great actress, whether she is playing a Holocaust survivor in a TV drama, a brothel madame on Deadwood, or the Borg Queen (the woman really has range!), but the Borg Queen was a really idiotic concept for the character.

My least favorite guest star is whoever played Sisko's mother, she was totally wooden.

Other than that, Roger C. Carmel as Harry Mudd. I don't get why some people name him as one of the best guest stars, I was appalled by his awful comic overacting.

Another actor whose comic overacting I can't stand is Matt Frewer. Ugh. He also annoyed me when he played Sherlock Holmes in a Hallmark production.

This may sound absolutely insane, but I never really found Gul Dukat very interesting before Season 4 of DS9. Indiscretion was probably the moment where the character finally clicked for me. As for the Borg Queen, she was a really bad idea, but I loved Alice Krige in the role.
