Maybe I missed something in my reading of the Dominion story of the Worlds series, but did anyone see an indication that there may be a separate body of founders, or something to that effect? Maybe not independent of the Great Link, but a little different? I'm thinking of the Founder that beamed aboard Vannis' ship. I thought she was further from the GL planet... obviously ships can move... but usually Founders don't interfere with the day-to-day running of the Dominion. They could have just said- feed the people building our ships at all costs and left it at that. The Founder that went to Vannis' ship knew a specific planet that needed food- and focused on one planet that had been told it was in the Dominion- and said to get all need food from it- maybe as an example? But why would the Founder be so specific about this? Wouldn't Odo know about it? I can't see him not protesting that- given what happened (not that they'd listen- but it'd be better to take a little from several planets then almost doom an entire one). The Founder on Vannis' ship just seemed different. And if not- why would she be given two huge assignments- look for the Ascendants *and* deal with the food shortage? Am I reading into this too deeply?
