I'm not sure if this belongs here or in Fan Productions, since it involves an original character and story. The Mods can feel free to move it if they want.

What we have here today, ladies and gentleman, is the first adventure of the Blue Cowl, a fearless crimefighter of the 1930s, in the tradition of The Shadow, The Avenger, Boston Blackie and all those guys. It is written by me and it stars a bunch of my friends and one of my brothers. Many of the voices you'll hear (if you listen) belong to some of your fellow posters here at TrekBBS-- folks like Shatna, Elmo Dukat, J. Allen, scottydog and others. They have brought this story to life better than I ever hoped and I thank them all. You'll love them, trust me.

On the production side, it's all me and it's the first time I've ever attempted something like this, so don't blame the actors for any of my shortcomings as a producer. The video is simply a fireplace and a replica antique radio-- had to have something there for YouTube-- but please stay for the credits.

It's about fifteen minutes long, so if you're a fan of old-time radio or just curious about it, give a listen. All constructive feedback is welcome.

Thank you. I hope you enjoy it. :)

Aside from cringing at my own acting, I enjoyed this thoroughly and am glad to be a part of it. RJ's production values are top-notch, from the music to the special effects, and the rest of the cast did a delightful job, especially my old pal KatyJane. Kudos all around!

I AM THE GREATEST AC-TOR WHO EVER LIVED! LIVED, I SAY!

Seriously, though, what a great production! Hearing everything come together into one finely polished story was so much fun! You did a fantastic job, RJ, and so did every one of the voice actors. It was fascinating hearing the words I spoke placed into a dialogue with another character that felt like we were both right there, in the same room, talking directly to one another.

The sound effects, the transitions, the organ music ramping up at the shocking discovery, I loved it. Everyone did such a wonderful job!

Also, to everyone else, please stay for the end of the credits.

Thanks, guys. I'm glad you both are happy with the finished story. Everybody did such a great job that it really did seem like you were all in the same room. That was one of my fears, that it would seem cobbled together, and I was amazed at how well it came together.

Shatna, you've got to be kidding me. You were perfect as the classic adventure hero. You sounded a lot better than the character did in my head. :rommie:

J, same to you. You really brought Daltry to life. You really are a great actor, to make yourself so unlikeable (and yet so amusing) at the same time. :D

As for the organ music-- I really lucked out there, too, being entirely devoid of musical ability. :rommie:

And the actress who played Noreen was pretty good. :D

Thanks for the bump. I hope more people give it a listen. :)
