I like it, but can't see any viable reason for the asymmetric secondary hull. It would result in extreme stresses in several places.

Dunno, the Surok-Class seems to do okay, with its one attachment point, or say the connies in general with their nacelles being uber dense with their coils being held aloft with spindly pylons... ;)
I would not overthink it mate, or you might ruin the magic of it all :D

You know what ?

You're absolutely right !

You sure like asymetric designs, any special reasons for that? Besides that, you're darn good at creating exotic and interesting designs. :mallory:

Well I believe that asymmetry is truth. What I mean is that although there seems to be a lot of symmetry in the universe, but it is an illusion, as there is a whole lot more asymmetry... And it is in everything. Think on it...
We are drawn to symmetry, but its probably more apt to say we are attracted to balance, and in space, balance has no meaning. Mass and density are all that matter in a ship's design, so why not treat it with more fun. Especially when in the time frame of Trek, that space is not an obstacle, or "the most hostile environment we've ever known", but a way of life.

Seems most life on this planet has somekind of symmetry in its shape/build, guess that is why humans usually go with symmetric designs for machines etc as well, guess that makes you an exception to the rule then. :)

lol Thanks.
you are correct..but all of that is not 100% accurate...as we are not mirrored, we are asymmetrical even though we have two arms, legs ears, eyes, etc... they are not symmetrical, and lets not even go inside us. Now cars are generally mirrored externally, but only in the aspect of form function, but again not internally, and even sometimes not externally.
There is nothing that is "symmetrical", that is in reality asymmetrical. One could argue sphere's and similar (cylinders, squares, pyramids etc...) but that is all but nigh existent in nature. :)

Anyway...enough talk!

Hmm.. just an idea but shouldn't the left side of the saucer be smaller? since the bulk of the secundairy hull is there.
So, how's that for asymmetrical thinking? ;)
