I understand how you feel, but consider this.

Twitter is a medium just like any other. I would never consider my TV as a joke even though I don't watch or care about 90% of shows. I take from it what I feel is worthwhile.

The same goes for the World Wide Web.

A lot of politicians are using Twitter now. I like to keep up with what they have to say. Granted it is propaganda, but keeping up with their bull---- at least allows me a window into their thought process and sometimes they provide worthy links for me to follow.
