With Einstein's ok: Star Trek-type spacecraft can travel at warp speed

Re: With Einstein's ok: Star Trek-type spacecraft can travel at warp s

I read a theory a while back that neutrinos are responsible for preventing the collapse of space. If that's true, then all you have to do is deflect neutrinos around an object in a certain way, and then return them to their original course.

Yes, that's right. Figure out cloaking, and you get Warp Drive for free.*

*Disclaimer: Neutrino deflector not included.

But wouldn't that collapse space in on the object and crush it?

Only if you got it wrong. The idea would be to collapse space in front of it.

Of course, that assumes that it's possible to separate the frame of reference of the ship from that of the space it's traversing.....
