Hi, Been a while since I post here. I decided to scrap my previous design Enterprise F, because I had a nicer idea in mind (In my view at least). Wanted a more solid looking ship but with nice curves to it. This is where I am:
Why scrap the other F? It was coming along nicely. Just make it another class of ship. This looks pronmising, too.
I love her she is both beautiful and as different from the E as the B was from the A or the E from the D or the C from the B
Thank you. The brown texture is a moving one (Organic Metal), but I am not entirely sure it will stay with this pattern...Same goes for the dark blue, might not stay uniform like this.
That hull texture reminds me of Seaquest DSV, and I mean that in a good way, since Seaquest's hull was also supposed to be "alive". Other areas remind me of a printed circuit... Hmm... Could this mean that by the time of the F that the Federation has learned a way to use Borg technology without sacrificing individuality?
As a long-time lurker and newly registered member here, I have to say this design is outstanding. As Rattrap said about the hull, it reminds me of the Seaquest too, aswell as bearing a resemblance to the hulls of the Whitestars, Vorlon vessels and Shadow "Spiders" from B5.
It's been a long time since i saw Seaquest, I don't remember the ship anymore. But it is true that the ships from B5 are an inspiration, because of their organic look and how the textures were more colorful and alive. Much more then Andromeda... As for the texture that looks like a printed circuit...I stopped there. There was a bit more layers to it, but I strip it down to this, because I don't want a visual mishmash. This is simpler but nicer...
