Well, that's the shortest, unfriendliest stint I've ever had on any forum of any kind anywhere (not counting my making a brief sojourn once into attempting to reply politely some months ago within a RWNJ site I'd bumped into, with a dissenting, respectful comment which got me immediately banned for not agreeing.
with them all that gay people were 'headed straight to hell'. But *here*, I merely replied playfully to a very old thread, and yes I did post it without reading the entire rules word for word, having assumed that "not being a dick" would be the prime directive... I immediately got a curt reply to please "let It rest, shall we?", a moderator post that also allowed no reply from me. An unpleasant vibe, community and experience. Buh-bye folks, I'll stick with Twitter, and other Trek sites (and non-Trek sites) I occasionally bump into that have lively discussions that go on for years, sometimes with looong pauses, but you do you and keep your rules perfectly and make SURE to point out a newbie's error snidely and with a firmly slammed door against even receiving an an "Oops! Missed that rule!" reply from them. Really creepy. (Not the rule, the whole tone of the slammed-door reply. Oh well).

"Don't be a dick" violator in this case wasn't me

See ya

But that's just my opinion, man

I was certainly not trying to be "curt", "snide", or a "dick".

I welcomed you to the board, asked you to read the rules for posting here, said we should let it rest, and closed the thread.

That's all.

Anyway, you're leaving, so best of luck on your journey.
