Was hoping I'd see some tales here of how the upgrade work is going.
I got in on the pre-order deal, so I saved a bit, but won't have it for a week or so, or so Amazon tells me.
I'm hoping the upgrade route (instead of a clean install) will go well for me.
My computer as it is is running a clean install of Vista on a new hard drive that I got a little over a year ago. The original in my system, which had XP to start, started dying on me, so I got a new one and used my previously unused Vista upgrade disc to do the clean install.
Vista has worked quite well on my hardware. To spare you the details, I'll just say my desktop gets a WEI score of 5.0, with all but one scoring a 5.9.
The upgrade advisor only identified what I recall as minor issues with two things, for which it said to handle by running Windows Update after install.
