It's still early on, so ... this is a yet a valid question.

I like Nadal over Djokovic in the final, with the latter having knocked off Federer in the semis.

My dark horses are Murray, Baghdatis and Safin (because Safin is a dark horse in whatever tournament he plays; when clicking on all cylinders [which is rare], he's the best player in the world).

For the ladies, I like Ivanovic, but think either Williams and Sharapova are threats to take it all.

For a ridiculously dark horse—we're talkin' Black Stallion, here—I'll take Vaidisova.

I think Safin will probably lose his match on Wednesday, although I'd love to see him playing like he can.

Sadly, you're almost certainly right about Safin.

He's become one of the classic cautionary tales in tennis history. He could have been the greatest to ever play the game, and instead he's ranked like 75th in the world, and at this point in his career is lucky to get out of his own way.

I'd just love, though, for Djokovic to say something stupid and get Safin all riled up, so I could watch as Marat a whups his young whippersnapper ass, because if they both come out and play their absolute best tennis, it's Safin in straights.

Ain't gonna happen, though.
