I also thought the same thing when texting to my brother if he wanted to STID.

I'm psyched about the new movie and I thought the same thing.

Also, The Shat will say anything that crosses his mind. I woulnd't read anything more than that. It's just how he is. :D

He's probably pinning all his hopes on being in the next one if they go for a 2016 release to make the 50th anniversary. Maybe they'll rehash "The Deadly Years" so he can play old Kirk.

Shat is just having fun & playing hard to get again.
On the other hand, LeVar who was hearing things ended up loving it :p

He certainly seemed jolly enough when he was part of the audience having a bit of fun with Abrams on Kimmel last night (along with Billy Dee Williams and two rather exaggerated--at least I hope so--Star Wars fans). If he was truly a "hater", I doubt he'd help promote the film in any way whatsoever.

It's actually a decent joke.

I don't think he really hates the new movies. There seems to be two Shatners, the real guy and the larger than life character he does every now and then.

Gotta love the Shat

Shatner's joke: "STiD sounds a lot like STD, which stands for Sexually Transmitted Disease. I don't want to catch a Sexually Transmitted Disease hahahaha!" ::kneeslap::

Conclusion: "William Shatner MUST hate nuTrek"?

Ummm... No.
