Will we ever see the “perfect” Video Game?

There will never be a perfect game simply because there is so much out there. Sports? MMO? Fantasy? First person shooter? RTS? Role-Playing? Turned Based?

I liked a lot of different games. And while it is overrated I still find it uniquely beautiful is the Final Fantasy series.

I think the FF series peaked with 3 (US), 7 and 9. I was not a big fan of any of the PS2 incarnations, Square became more concerned with people interfacing with some kind of interactive movie than actual gameplay, the combat systems were weak, and the "magic" left the series. X was OK, but too linear and that stupid ball "game" they forced you to "play" over and over again almost made me hate the game entirely.

To me, Final Fantasy is about mages and warriors, air ships and ancient evil, maybe some steam-punk like stuff thrown in. Weird blends of high science and magic are done far better by some of the Fantasy Star games than any FF game I've played.
