Will These Actors Return for Fourth Movie?

Gsam

Lieutenant
Red Shirt
Just wondering what folk's thoughts are with regards to Pine and Crew returning for any future movies after the third one (which fulfills contractual obligations).

Do you see you see a fourth movie for Pine and crew in the future?

I don't know, but I hope so. I really like them in the roles. I hope to see more Sulu and Chekov the next time around, though.

Isn't the rumor that Quinto said he is done after the third?

I mean it could obviously still be false, or just a ploy to get more money (and obviously most everyone would get a raise).

Seems a bit early to worry about the fourth movie since we don't even know when the third is coming out. Isn't this something we should be fretting about in, say, 2018 or so? :)

I could see a fourth... but most likely they'd do a TNG run of movies.

What I eventually want though is for Paramount to use the movies to revive the series on TV. Hell, they can have the alternate timeline and the Prime universe both at some point.

Speculating is a fan's business -- no, his duty. And there's no better speculation than far-future speculation ! Hence: science-fiction.

Probably not. This cast isn't committed to Trek the way the older actors were. In other words, they have careers outside of Star Trek.

Paramount will let it rest for a few years and do another reboot.

CBS isn't interested in Trek for TV.

It's possible but those actors who are not trekkies and whose stars are rising may not feel the need. I think the 5-year mission is a great excuse for an animated series. I'd say that's more likely than a fourth movie at this point but yeah, it's too early to be sure.

You think ? I hope not. Once every 40 years seems good. :)

Not the way things are going, anyway. The box office suggests that the viewers for this movie are pretty much the same from the last one. Those numbers aren't strong enough to justify a series based on that.

If there was a good Trek show out right now it'd make a lot of money and get a lot of viewers, even Enterprise initially had a strong number before the pilot was complete and utter shit (along with the show for four seasons).

As for a fourth movie, it really depends where they are in their careers. Chris Pine isn't exactly a mega star, and Zoe Saldana is probably the most successful of them. The problem is they are contracted to three, so once you get to the fourth they can demand more money and the returns just may not be worth it.

I admit the first two seasons were pretty mediocre, but seasons 3-4 were very good in my opinion.

I think they can work out an arrangement with Syfy or USA or something like that. Dedicated enough audience for those channels and Star Trek is a proven name that will draw at least 3 million with even mediocre seasons while it will definitely premier to over 10 million.

The question is, do they want to go for state of the art graphics or are they happy basically going with older and cheaper tech? I think if they don't go for state of the art, it's an easy choice to make the series.

i remember reading somewhere that chris pine recently signed on to do a fourth. then again it could be just rumor and speculation.

Nah. I prefer it to the previous two spin-offs.

Good - he's terrible in the part.

So Spock does not show emotions, except when he does, which is MOST OF THE FILM. Either that or he's perpetually pissed off.

And Romulans have Neanderthal brows, not Vulcans!

As far as movies go 3 would be enough for me from this cast. Maybe a TV series would be nice if they would partcicipate, but 3 would be nice enough. Tehy could die at the end for all i care.

Trek is univrse, it's about ideas and adventure not a cast.
