Wife Of Brian...

AG nods to Callahan and tosses a dollar bill in the cigar box at the end of the bar. The big Irishman lifts an eyebrow and promptly dispenses a shot of Crown Royal.

AG scoops the glass up, ignores the quarters in the box and walks up to the line on the floor in front of the fireplace.

I figure 24 hours or so will give you all a chance to get a fresh drink before I toast. Those of you that can, please join me here at 2200 UTC on Monday.

AG

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I will offer the toast in my heart, but I can't be here.

Make it a good one as I will check back and so will she...world domination takes many forms.

I was expecting this thread to contain marital banter :(

You've got my condolences. If I were religious, you'd have my prayers too.

We have a plan in motion to remember her now. What if I told you we were planning to use her "genetic material" (frozen eggs) to knock up her best friend so her genes at least will carry on?

One of the biggest disappointments (if you can call it that) is we tried and tried but due to issues couldn't get pregnant. This option was discussed a couple of times but we kept putting it off.

Got an appointment with the fertility expert next month, if all goes well I should be a father by the time I finish my first deployment. :)

That is of course totally dependent on the viability of the stored material and Amy's willingness to see this through. I'll keep you posted on this.

Now. Spent the morning talking to her doctor. Now I know The Rest Of The Story. Last appointment she went to she was told to check into the hospital or die... either way the odds were 50/50 of her surviving the latest complication. She chose to skip the hospital and live or die on her own terms. The doctor is mad as heck over her choice but I understand why she did it. Who wants to live out your last 10 days in the frigging hospital? :)

Last thought for today then I have to get back to paperwork and cleaning: I'm looking at photographs of her from 18 months ago and photos of her a month ago. Love is totally blind, I didn't "see" her getting worse. She didn't slow down at all either. Absolutely frigging amazing.

I think that I've read enough.

- Wife dies on Black Friday in a mall, yet it doesn't even make the local news. It might have made the national news. "Woman shops to death."
-The inappropriate humor directly after the death.
-The unexpected riches left in a will story.
-And now, let's have a baby via the best friend story.

Uh huh.

I think, my friends, we've been trolled by a poster and his sockpuppet.

To those saying "But I spoke with his wife online!" unless you MET HER IN PERSON, you spoke with SOMEONE online. You don't know with whom you spoke.

And I've had someone pull the dying act on me. It took a few phone calls to confirm the lie. I've also seen people lie about their age and their marital status - multiple times. This is the Internet. Unless you meet and know the family - you don't know what's real and what's not. Unless you've met ME in person, you don't know for sure that I'm 50 and middle-aged and female. I could be an 18-year-old in Mom and Dad's basement.

I'm just not buying it, unless I see some proof.
