Why no Slings & Arrows omnibus?

Is there any particular reason why Slings & Arrows isn't available in a collected omnibus edition, like Mere Anarchy is?

The trade paperback collections of eBooks (of which there are only three left now, two Corps of Engineers and S&A) will be published when there's a good spot on the schedule for them (like, say, in a summer when four mass-markets are yanked at the last minute *wry grin*).

I'm mainly interested in an E-book omnibus, I assume this would come out at the same time the paper version does?

As Defcon said, there are eight eBooks left, and the word count on some of them is considerable. No way we'd be able to squeeze all eight into one book, so they'll be done as two books.

At least that's the plan. :) The first four would be in Turn the Page, the latter four in Remembrance of Things Past.

Whenever they decide to finally release the Slings & Arrows omnibus, I'll be the first in line at my local Chapters:techman:. I've been waiting for that series for what seems like forever

^ No, it doesn't. He was talking about ALL ebooks, including CoE and all that. I only meant the six Slings & Arrows books. Those are the only ones I'm interested in right now. And as I keep saying, Mere Anarchy already got an omnibus, so why not this?

^Yes, Keith was talking about all eBooks including Slings and Arrows. The answer for S&A is exactly the same as the answer for CoE: There will be an omnibus for it when there is room on the schedule. Remember, Slings and Arrows mostly came out after CoE's last installment. So it makes sense that the omnibuses would be published in a similar order. You'll just have to be patient.

Yes, really, it does. :)

Mere Anarchy got an omnibus when it did because there was a certain sense to releasing a TOS trade paperback in the spring of 2009. There was this movie, you see.... :)

The final three TPBs of eBooks (the final two COEs and S&A) will be released when there's a good spot in the schedule for them.

KRAD,

Thanks for clearing that up.

Now, will those omnibus versions, whenever they do finally come, will they come out in ebook format as well or just paper form? I have ebook versions of all of the previous SCE omnibuses through "Wounds". Then "Out of the Cocoon" and "What's Past" came out in paper form only and there's been no ebook version of them. I wasn't sure if you guys were taking a different route with these or if maybe the ebook versions had just been delayed.

Someone else pointed out that it would seem silly to come out with ebook versions of paper omnibus versions of previously released ebooks but, you had for all the previous, so...

Anyway, thanks for the info.

^ I assume that the eBook editions of OotC and WP will be out soon, but I really don't know what the story is there....
