Why do so many fanfilms make the same makeup mistake?

Production people would tend to want their actors to look good for the audience, especially if the actor or actress is suppose to look sexy in some way. The red lips tend to stay for those types of reasons. The pink interior of the month is far more for practical reasons of not wanting to kill your actors with chemicals too much.
