Who's your favourite screen Santa Claus?

I'm not doing a poll since I'm not looking for a winner, just your favourite Santa and your reason why.

I love Richard Attenborough in the remake of 'Miracle on 34th Street'. The scene with him and the deaf girl gets me every time.

I prefer Edmund Gwenn in that role.

I'm rather fond of Santa as depicted in "A Year Without Santa."
He's just so darn cute!

I also like Santa in "The Polar Express." He's so mysterious and regal, yet kind and magical.

Santa Claus in Santa Claus: The Movie is, for me, the definitive screen Santa.

Also, despite what others may say, I absolutely adore Tim Allen and the Santa Clause movies. Yes, all three of them. I'm weird like that, okay? :D

I also rather liked Santa in Prep & Landing. He was cool, and his version of the North Pole was awesome.

I agree about Tim Allen. I almost listed him in addition to Gwenn. I've only seen the first of the three movies, but I've heard enough people say the other two were decent to make me want to see them sometime.

I enjoyed the Santa from "Prep and Landing" until I realized who was doing the voice. I really like Morgan Shepherd - I REALLY DO! However imagining this guy as Santa is just kinda squicky.

Tim Allen in The Santa Clause, because he is funny and endearing, and has a sense of practicality and sarcasm about the whole thing. His comments towards Neal are absolutely hilarious in that movie.
