Who would play LT. Kevin Riley if he replaces Chekov's role in StarTrek4

Seeing as JJ Adrams has confirmed that Chekov won't be recasted. I think they should bring in LT. Kevin Riley, if they could find a suitable young actor that fills the role that Anton's Chekov had for young audience members.

Don't get me wrong, I'll love Jaylah to return, but I'd kinda thought that she would be more into engineering than navagation.

Which actor who would have to play the part of Kevin.

Haha! Some of these weird suggestions are making me laugh my ass off.

Personally, I think they should cast a dark haired white actor between the ages of 20-30 who looks similar to Bruce Hyde who was age 25 when he'd filmed "The Naked Time" because Anton Yelchin was 20 when he played Chekov in StarTrek in 2009 and he was age 27 (still under 30) by the time of his death.

I don't want to see him recast. Trek has managed without him before and it can do so again. I'd like to see his death honoured with his character being promoted off the ship (like TWOK) and onto further untold adventures in the kelvin universe, that sits a lot better with me.

I agree! I don't want Chekov to be recast. I think that is a good way to see Anton's death honoured by him being promoted off the ship.

I just really want to see Kevin Riley in the movies as I think they could be some good character development beyond the two episodes he was in. I'll like to see flashbacks to when Captian Kirk saved Kevin when he was age 5 in Tarsus V and from then maybe develope the relationship between the two characters, like Kevin could look up to Kirk as a father figure. I'll also like to see Joanna McCoy in the movies as a possible love interest for Riley.

I just really want to see Kevin Thomas Riley in the movies, in the same way I want to see Yeoman Janice Rand and to introduce Joanna McCoy too in future movies.
