That's true of the Additive color system (color as illumination). Black is the absence of hues while white is the Presence of all hues. However its the opposite in the Subtractive color system (Color as pigmentation), where white is the absence of hues and black is the sum of all hues. I'm thinking that Kal-L (Superman from Earth-2) will be a Black Lantern, based on one panel from the last page of Justice Society of America #1. In that panel a blue sleeved arm punches out the ground at Kal-L's grave while a stunned Power Girl watches.
That was a dream she had - we saw the full scene a couple of issues later.

Unfortunately, given how often DC has let me down lately, I wasn't joking.
