Who is the mystery Bring Back Kirk author?!

Superman

Fleet Captain
From the Bring Back Kirk Fan Fiction page:

A few months back, we released the second official Bring Back Kirk trailer. This trailer was a success and got a lot of attention for the Bring Back Kirk campaign.

Well, one person, who has professional Star Trek experience, decided to help our cause by turning our trailer into a novelization. This person has taken the trailer, expanded the storyline, and divided it into two parts.

Part One will deal with the whole storyline involving Kirk's retrieval by Spock from the nexus, and Starfleet's role in accomplishing it. Part Two will involve that big battle.

Basically, thanks to this incredible though anonymous author, we will be able to treat Star Trek fans to a free Star Trek novel, based on our trailer. Part one is available at the link below. Again, this will only be about half the story.

So I ask...just who is this person?! And when will the second part of the story appear, if ever?

"One person who has professional Star Trek experience" could mean anything. It could be someone who was an extra or key grip on one of the shows or films. There's no reason to assume it means a professional Trek novelist, so this may be the wrong forum for this thread.

But it deals with a book, and it's a guess... so I don't see any problem with it.

It deals with a work of fan fiction, not professional fiction, so it should be in the Fan Fiction forum. As was pointed out in another thread just a week or two ago, posting a link to a work of fan fiction in the Trek Lit forum is against forum policy.

Well I did a quick search on that page and one thing's for sure ... It's not KRAD. The word "Klingon" appears only twice in 47 pages.

^^^Where no Trek lit pros visit, which means I will not find the answer I'm looking for.

Thanks for moving this thread here.

Look at it this way... Since the person is going by "anonymous" it is VERY highly unlikely that you'd have gotten an answer even if they knew. People who use the byline of "anonymous" tend to want to remain that way.

I have just one complaint about this idea, and this is coming from someone who'd LOVE to see Kirk come back, even if only to then "fade off into the sunset" as he had before GENERATIONS (with us never knowing anything about the finale years/days of his life).

The complaint?

In the Nexus, faux-Guinan told Picard she couldn't leave the Nexus, since she was only an "echo" of the real Guinan.

The same would be true of any Kirk found in the Nexus after his death on the planet Soran was on.

The real Kirk came out of the Nexus, and died.

Going into the Nexus to see the "echo" would lead to nothing.

A different method than this should have been used, and HAS BEEN in already existing novels.

Nonetheless, I'm still going to try and read this fanfic. ("Try" as in "The interest is there...just not sure about the time/energy." :()
