Dalton was close, but he still had the dumb one-liners and wisecracks in the script. Ian Fleming's James Bond was never funny.

Definitely Daniel Craig. His Bond is true to the original Casino Royale Bond. No stupid gadgets. Only his wits and a gun.

Not really. In this context, "Both" makes no sense. It's impossible for two actors to both be closer to Fleming's intent than the other. It really should say "Neither".
