Who here LIKED Comic-Con? I did.

Hey, kids,

I've been going to the San Diego Comic-Con since '73 (when the biggest celeb was Neal Adams) so I've seen and been happy to see the Con grow into the behemoth it has. Yes, it can be overwhelming but I think the organizers learned from the last two years how to handle the programming and how to rearrange the dealer's room floor. It didn't seem as nuts this year as compared to the first two years it sold out.

Well, with the exception of the eye-stabbing incident.

I had a great time this year. Anyone else?

Well, with the exception of the eye-stabbing incident.

The what now?

It was originally reported that someone stabbed someone else in the eye with a pen over a seat in Hall H (the big-ass main auditorium at the Con that people actually camp out for overnight) and that all the fans did was stand around and take pictures and videos while it was going on.

In truth, it was a small pencil to the eyelid (or brow, still sketchy there) (bad enough, I know, but not IN the eye), it was because the guy felt crowded by the other guy (understandable as both were on the bigger side and the seats are your standard convention/meeting hall width, no arms on the seats) and an argument broke out, and nearby fans restrained the stabber til security got there.

The next day, the go-to quick-and-dirty walk around costume was holding your bloody hand up to your eye with a pen sticking out of it. Not so funny to the stabbee, I'm sure.
