Who do you want to get a happy ending?

I'm putting it in poll form, cause voting is fun. The question is pretty self-explanitory. I don't think everyone on Lost is getting a happy ending, but I do believe a couple of characters might. This isn't necessarily about who deserves or or not, either. What's your personal preference?

You forgot Penny? Or is she so tied into Desmond, that you'd consider them the same.

And how about Cindy & the kids?

I figured that Desmond getting a happy ending also means Penny gets one, and vice versa. Cindy and the Kids are as tangental as Scott and Steve to me, not characters so much as fun familiar faces every so often.

Interestingly, Sawyer, Hurley, Desmond and Locke are all tied for people most wanting them to get a happy ending. Pretty understandable, I think, as it's a mix of two likable guys and two guys who have just had to deal with so much crap in their lives that it'd be nice to see them get a rest.

Hurley, Sun, Jin – because I can’t imagine them not getting a happy ending
Bernard, Rose, Vincent – pretty much a lock already
Aaron, Ji Yeon – because they’re babies! Also they should grow up and get married
Sayid, Desmond, Locke – because they’ve been through HELL already – which means I should also vote for Sawyer – but I can’t save everyone
Frank, Miles – what purpose would thwacking them serve?
Darlton – their happy ending should be a brand new show! Not Lost-ish, but still sci fi. Dare I hope…space opera?
Boone (under Other) – just cuz, poor guy…

Richard deserves it through his loyalty and long service.

And I think Ben, through the last 35 years of his life, has been through enough personal torment, made enough sacrifices, and will have redeemed himself to such a degree that he's earned it too.

As for the rest, the only ones for whom I would find a sad ending unsatisfying are Hurley and Desmond.

I think it's too late for Locke.

I voted Sun & Jin, Desmond & Penny, and Hurley. Funny everyone else it wouldn't bother me too much if they came to a bad ending just because it would make for good drama.

I want Kate to be utterly miserable...if she doesn't die. I don't think I've ever hated a character on a T.V. show so much!

Jack, Hurley, Desmond, Sun, Jin, Claire, Rose, Bernard & Jacob. (Yes, I know Jacob is "dead" but this is LOST!) I'd also vote for Charlie but he's been long gone, despite this week's episode.

I find it interesting that Kate only got 4 votes (so far) as it seems obvious, at least to me, that the writers want her character to be endearing to us despite her shady background.

And nope, I didn't vote for Sawyer... not because I don't like the character. I just feel like I'd be okay either way with whatever ending the writers choose for him.

And when it comes down to it... the only one I feel very strongly about getting a happy ending is Hugo. I will be sorely disappointed if he doesn't get a happily-ever-after!

For those who don't think dead characters like Locke or Charlie will have happy endings, I'll just throw this random thought out here:

For those of you who follow behind-the-scenes stuff and interviews, remember way back in season two or three, when Cuse and Lindeloft joked about an eventual time travel season? And they've also joked about season seven being "The Zombie Season"? Well, we saw the time travel season come to pass in season five. I think we'll also be getting some form of zombie episodes by the end of the show.

In fact, I'll hazard a guess that we will get a shot of Locke's hand busting out of that graveyard on the beach, and it'll be epic, cheesy and hilarious in a manner that only Lost could do. It'll be something to do with the Flash-Sideways and Michael's revelation that the whispers are those who "can't move on." If the spirits are still around, perhaps they'll be allowed to re-occupy their bodies again.

Of course, there will be an in-story price for such an event. I'm not saying that everyone will just come back and live happily ever after. Dead is still dead, after all. But with all the recent emphasis on dead people still being around in some form or another, I think we're setting the setup to some sort of "zombie" finale.

but it would be nice to have ones for sawyer, penny , desmond and especially hurley.
but really i suspect the end will be nasty and brutal for all.
