Have Labour even managed to have a female Head of their party?

Thinking back over their leaders from the last couple of decades.

What about the Lib Dems have they had a female lead?

You missed one.

Also Margaret Beckett was in the running to replace Smith in '94.

UKIP had Diane James MEP as their leader for eighteen days.

The Greens have had Caroline Lucas, Natalie Bennett,
Siân Berry and Margaret Wright, though a precise designation of party leader is often elusive in their case.

The Scottish National Party have had Nicola Sturgeon since 2014.

The Democratic Unionists have had Arlene Foster since 2015.

It's hard to determine who should be the true leader of Sinn Fein but Michelle O'Neill had been in charge of the Northern Ireland section since January.

Plaid Cymru have had Leanne Wood since 2012.

The Liberal Democrats have never had a female leader, though I suppose there was a brief interval in 2015 during which The Baroness Brinton assumed effective command.

Labour had Margaret Beckett in 1994, then Harriet Harman in 2010 and 2015. Both were merely standing in while a permanent leader was elected.

The Conservatives had Margaret Thatcher from 1975 to 1990 and Theresa May since last July.
