Which unreleased Star Wars deleted scenes do you want to see?

Whofan

Fleet Captain
While a good chunk of the deleted scenes from Star Wars (On some old BTS CD-roms) and the Prequels (On their DVDs) have been released, there's not a lot of deleted video from ESB and ROTJ (Although plenty of documentation). However with the new blu-ray releases there apparentally will be "new" deleted material released. We got a preview of that with the ROTJ scene last summer with Vader trying to contact Luke, and Luke constructing and activating his saber.

There's also some deleted stuff from the other four films that didn't make the cut of the CD-ROM or DVDs either.

ESB-where most of the deleted stuff is from Hoth-of course has the Wampa subplot, where the creatures attack Echo base. It doesn't really add anything to the story and kind of feels like filler, although it does have a somewhat funny pay-off. The Rebels seal the Wampas in a room. C-3PO, while evacuating, rips off a 'don't open' sign, and some Snowtroopers then open the door, causing them to be mauled by the Wampas.

ROTJ in addition to the scene already shown has a scene of the Royal Guards and Jerjorrod blocking Darth Vader from seeing the Emperor. There's also the sandstorm scene, which was cut because of blurry footage, and reportedly there's a ton of Endor footage that was shot-including extra scenes with the B-wing fighters-but was unusable (Because the B-wings were too thin and therefore hard to film in big scenes) some rebel commander shots and also some extra footage of the interior of the Falcon and the return of the turrets from the "Here they come!" scene from Star Wars.

There's of course a lot more, and the best source for SW deleted material is this site IMO:

So which scenes are people looking forward to? I'd love to see some more Endor stuff, even if it's new CG shots.

I wanna see that deleted scene from the end of Jedi, where Joda, Obi-Wan, and Hayden fade in as ghosts, and then Sebastian Shaw fades in, pulls out Vader's glove, and bitch slaps Emo Vader' smirking face. That I want to see.

Definitely want to see the B-Wing footage, even have they have to tweak it with CGI. There's also supposedly some footage of General Madine directing the ground troops during the Endor battle. That would go a long way toward fighting the idea that it was the Ewoks alone that took out the stormtroopers. Remember the establishing shot of the rebel strike team on Endor? There were several rebel troops with them.

There's also supposed to be a scene from Empire where Luke uses a giant ground gun against the Imperial troops or the wampas.

The one where the Vader uses Jar Jar Binks' neck to refine his Force Choke skills.

Definitely the Wampa stuff though I don't know what kind of shape it's in. In The Making of ESB book, they mentioned additional training by Luke on Dagobah either wasn't filmed or cut because the film was way behind scheduled. But a still suggests some of it was filmed.

Of course the scene I want to see is the sandstorm scene from ROTJ. It was the first shot recorded for ROTJ and the only scene in the movie to feature a model of the Falcon's exterior.

Luke and Biggs' farewell on Tatooine.

And maybe the scene where Luke is telling his friends about a big battle going on in orbit above Tatooine, and no one believes him. But was that ever filmed?

^Yep, the scene was filmed-it was available on the old "Behind the Magic" CD-rom.

The early Tatooine scenes were mainly cut BTW because they kind of ruined the pace of the movie-originally they were going to be between scenes on the Blockade Runner.

I liked the Tatooine stuff but it was the correct decision.

As I recall, the Luke/Biggs scenes were done initially but GL's friends were concerned that the first twenty minutes was just people in masks, droids, etc. But he realized it worked fine just the way it was.
