Since Sulu wasn't in the poll, I voted Picard. He was a great diplomat... boldly talking to death all enemies with his fatherly preaching.

I voted Sisko of course. Very kickass and straightforward. Picard would make a damn good president too. Captains in general are good presidential candidates but NOT Janeway. If she was president I'd leave the country.

^ and upon leaving office his approval rating fluctuated around 30%.

Kirk and Picard would both make excellent Presidnets...er, Presidents. Kirk is said to have been based on JFK, after all.

Which begs the question, what U.S. President do you think the Trek captains resemble most? Of the top of my head, Picard seems like an FDR or maybe Wilson? Sisko seems like he might be a Grant or Eisenhower. Janeway would have to be Nixon; paranoid and selfish. Archer can be one of the doddering, forgotten Presidents.
