Which Star Trek Character Are You?

Michael

A good bad influence

A post in another thread got me thinking, which character from the Star Trek series would most likely match your personality?

I think I can best identify with Spock. I also consider myself someone who rather hides his emotions (but who has them and only wishes to share them with his closest fellows). I'm also a very scientific kind of guy (I only believe in what I see) and value friendship very much (like Spock, I seem to favor few, close friends over several, superficial friendships). Also, just like Spock, I have an interest in art and music.

(I'm well aware that this or a similar question most likely already came up on this board before.)

NCC you only believe what you see? Have you ever seen Paris Hilton? A bacillus? Cairo? Have you ever seen evolution? Music? History? How about gravity? A black hole? A cosmic string? A banjo? I mean, have you ever seen a banjo?

:) I'm just yanking ya chain bud.

Will Riker. We're quite similar in fact: big, robust, humorous and accessible, but a hardass if we gotta be. I played brass (trumpet, baritone, tuba). Like Riker, I smile when I eat the gagh (and I do mean this). We both have a cynical streak when it comes to the motives of others, but we don't let it degrade our humanity (I'd like to think).

Jim Kirk-

Same first name. I'm a risk taker, but I know what's really important to me, as does he.

Athletic, live for the moment, afraid of no one. (except my wife when she's mad at me, of course!)

100% Spock. I'm a thinker, and tend to seek out the "logical" part of an arguement. I'm also very stoic in nature and hide my emotions well, but occasionally let go in front of people i know well. I also have a very close knit circle of a few friends rather than a ton of acquaintances., similar to that of the Big 3.

I wonder if many people identify with Spock since he was the obvious outsider and I bet most people can relate to that. I mean, while he's not my favorite character overall, I can relate to him the most. Almost all of the others are too obviously archetypal characters and embody somewhat clichéd tropes to the point of where no "normal" person can truly relate to them overall.

I think I am most like Kes from Voyager. Sweet, innocent, creative, smart, sexy yet pretty, and intelligent.;)

My wife tells me that Worf reminds her of me a lot, but that Odo is the TV character most like me that she's ever seen.

Though we both suspect that in truth I'm the Tuvix-style transporter malfunction between Manny and Bernard from Black Books.

He, some of us would like to see ourselves as Spock, Kirk, and the various other "achievers" of the Trek universe, but I suspect most of us are a lot more like Barkley (before he received his reality check) or Cyrano Jones, (metaphorically picking up tribbles for years on end). At least, those two fit me a lot more honestly than the "heroes".

Sincerely,

Bill

some bizarre cross between Reed, Paris and Bashir, but not as good looking.

smart, not a whizz with the ladies, a penchant for weaponry and cars, and a liking for pop culture...

I know some people hate the character, but I'd have to say I was more like Wesley Crusher as a teen. (Not that he was around when I was a teen... heheh.) I was top of my class, an egghead.
When I was a teen, it was Spock... I emulated him at every chance. I envied how he could hide his emotions and pain.
Now that I'm older, I'm more like Bones... opinionated, care about others, the helper.

Oddly, although he's not my favorite character, I think I'm most like Trip. I'm empathetic, a good listener, effective in a crisis, and very good at finding solutions. But cross me, or hurt my feelings, and I hold a grudge.

McCoy. A Southern Boy who wears his heart on his sleeve. I can also be charming and funny when needed.

I guess I'm most like Trip. I'm not an engineer, but in terms of personality, I wear my heart on my sleeve, I mean well, I want to help people who are in trouble, and I'm a wise *ss.

I think I'm most like O'Brien.

Also, Admiral Forrest from Enterprise reminds me a lot of my dad. And yes, that is a compliment. :techman:

Definitely the Doctor. A blend of class, dry wit and introverted, standoffish arrogance. :)
