I agree Worf is a kind of a underrated source of humor. Lots of funny one-liners and jokes about how serious he takes things. Of course this though can also be more of another vote for DS9 since he was a regular on that show. It's almost equal but DS9 also took him more serious as a kick-ass warrior where he doesn't get beat up in a fight every week which might have diluted the humor somewhat. He was a more welll-rounded character on DS9 but on TNG they almost where always going for the joke with him except in the Klingon ep's. so I would still say he was more funny on TNG but they still got some good Worf humor as well on DS9.

As I age I'm finding the humor on TOS a little lame.

TNG, when it tried to be funny worked very well. Deja Q and Tracy Torme's comedic episodes on TNG were among my favorite moments of Trek humor.

DS9 tried hard to be funny and although there were some missteps it suceeded often enough to be the funniest series. Avery Brooks could be hilarious at times.

From least comedic to most.

1. ENT - Very serious - not many attempts at humour
2. DSC - The nuBSG of comedy
3. ENT - Not intended to be funny and I didn't find Nelix all that funny and while the doctor was great not comedic
4. DS9 - I didn't find the funny episodes funny. I'm happy for those of you who did.
5. TOS - Higher percentage of comedic episodes. Shatner can be pretty funny especially interacting with Spock the perfect foil.
6. TNG - Had both Data and Worf there for humour. For me I think Data is about 70/30 funny but Worf was quite humourous. Had Data or Worf humour practically every episode so TNG wins on sheer volume of attempts at comedy.

TNG - Sir, I must protest, I am not a merry man! Picard waking up next to Q plus many scenes involving Data.

Closely followed by DS9, Quark, O’Brien, Bashir, Nog and Rom were funny throughout. Weyoun’s relationship with Dukat was hilarious.

The Doctor singing La Donna è Mobile when Tuvok suffered from Pon Farr was a priceless scene - as was Janeway's face while watching the scene unfolding.....
