Which Hospital Drama is the most realistic?

In terms of medical science stuff, my gf informs me House gets it right, 75-80% of the time, but obviously the drama side is not even slightly realistic.
Early ER, first say 5-6 seasons, is probably the most realistic medical drama, within the confines of a drama - i.e., it's dramatic enough for people to actually watch and enjoy it. Ergo, it has more crap than a usual emergency room. But generally, I would say it used to tow the line of realism relatively well. The really big turning point was the smallpox outbreak, imho. After that, all realism went out the window. But the Dr Greene years were always pretty good.

Yeah, I used to watch it. I don't remember what happened, though. Did it end, or was it just cancelled?

The people who made the show decided to end it after 3 seasons.

ER always struck me as being very realistic, and Poliet Dissent seems to suggest House's medical stuff is "mostly" right though it takes licenses a lot for drama. The procedural stuff, obviously, is way out of wack.

But, ER was (to me) always great and always felt very realistic for an inner big-city hospital. The first four or five seasons may be something I need to collect on DVD. But I think the show REALLY fell apart around the time Greene got cancer. The last episode I watched, when I turned it off for good, was when Dr. Greene became a murderer. That was the last straw for me. Having characters killed and mamed by helicopters was also incredibly dumb.

I'm vauge on the details as it's been years, but they were searching for a (would be) killer who threatened his wife/newborn and they eventually caught the guy and he ended up in the hopsital. Somehow Greene ended up in an elevator with the guy, alone, and he went into cardiac arrest and Greene didn't use the defib on him opting to, instead, just use them in the "air" so that the machine would show that the defib had been used but the guy didn't benifit from that use. - He killed the guy.

Sure, I guess, he had "good motive" but it was still a shitty thing to do that ruined the character forever.

Their happiness is threatened, though, when the abusive father of a patient goes on a killing rampage after losing his son to social workers. In a bid to get his son back, he kills and injures a number of people and even threatens to kill Elizabeth and Ella. After being shot by police, he is brought to the ER. During his treatment, he is being transferred by Mark to the operating room when he goes into arrest. Alone in the elevator, Mark decides to withhold treatment and allows him to die. He later falsifies records to show that he did attempt to save him. Elizabeth suspects what Mark did but lets the matter drop without any further discussion.

In the early seasons ER - but it started to lose itself about the first time Romano decided to fight with a helicopter (only to have it come back and fall on him a few years later) then it was down hill. I still watch it but only because I don't have the remote at that time.

I'm looking forward to the doumentary series about John's Hopkins coming out in a few weeks on ABC. Trauma Life in the ER on TLC is good at times.

I found Romano to be the only charter i really liked.
I stopped watching when they killed Romano i think that was season 10 and what i did see of season 10 was painfull to watch.
