Which Captain could you serve under best?

Kirk
Picard
Cisco
Janeway
Archer

If you want to include Spock because he achieved the rank of Captain or Sulu because he commanded the Excelsior or any other captain/commander of any starship/star base/space station, that's fine too.

(I really liked that Commodore Wesley...but I really don't want to serve under Commodore Decker )

If you're a Starfleet officer, which captain would work best as your superior officer? It's not necessarily picking the best captain. There may be someone on the list you consider best but recognize that with your personality and theirs it would never work. Look at your personality and pick the captain that you would work the best with.

As a viewer I like Kirk. Would it work for me to serve under him? Not so sure about that.

My best bosses have been female, so I think I would do well serving under Janeway.

Kirk seems like an okay boss. Seems fair minded. But you'd have to do your job.
Picard and Riker, no thanks. Not the type I'd like to work for
Archer, might be a little too hands on in his style.
Didn't watch Vovager much. No sense of her style.
Sisko is a guy I'd like to hang out with and talk.

Honestly, I think that out of all five Trek captains, he cares the most about the people under his command.

Although at the moment at work it feels like I'm working under Captain Jellico. We have a temporary CEO who is busting all the ballsto the point that some people are leaving the business. Our previous CEO's have been pretty chill, so it's a hard adjustment for some. I'm actively trying to do the opposite of what Riker and co did which was to be unprofessional and pout.

William T. Riker has a cool command style, when he's in charge of things. He's a natural leader and an every Man type of character. The sort of Captain, where you hope to be assigned to serve on his vessel. It would be an honour ...

1. Kirk- straightforward, passionate, extremely competent without acting like an arrogant ass. Inspiring, cares for his crew. Probably a hard driver, but because he knows it's needed.
1b. Sisko- No-nonsense but also very human. A father who has compassion for others. A deep thinker who is also not afraid of action. Articulate and unambiguous.
