Which asian actors would be great Klingons?

Mudang Harada

Lieutenant Commander
Just curious, chances are we would never see them in the role. But there are plenty that have a ''klingon'' presence on the screen.

That could actually happens, but there are plenty actors taht are too high profile in Asia or don't speak English/sound terrible in English.

A talented actor can still be a great Klingon though, just through screen presence and not saying a word. And English wouldn't be a prerequisite if all their dialogue is in Klingon.

Plus there are many different Klingon dialects we have yet to here. It's not a huge leap to believe one dialect has an asian accent.

Yao Ming would make a menacing Klingon while we're on the subject.

Jackie Chan as an acrobatic Klingon. After cutting off an opponent's head, he rebounds it off the wall and takes out three other guys.

John Lone. Hell, his performance in Iceman nearly qualifies

Gordon Liu (Pai Mei & Johnny Mo from Kill Bill)

Just for convenience, here's a (very, very incomplete) list of more established Asian American hollywood actors. They can be cast in any kind of Trek species roles, but if anyone wants to draw Klingon heads on them for reference, be my guest: http://www.buzzfeed.com/mattortile/asian-leading-men-who-deserve-more-airtime#1s9pzhb

He'd be the one Klingon who don't want no trouble. Then proceeds to beat up the whole ship with a jeffries' tube ladder and Riker's trombone.

Anyway, I imagine that someone like Rick Yune could play an incredibly charismatic but brutal Klingon. Also, I'd be interested in seeing Asian American pro wrestlers playing Klingons -- I'm sure that they'd bring plenty to the role.

Garrett Wang is reportedly going to be a Klingon in Star Trek: Axanar. Captain of the first D7 battlecruiser.

Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa is another actor I like, he's even shows up in TNG: Encounter at Farpoint as the bailiff in Q's court. Great presence, can look menacing. He's 64 now, but could always be a Klingon elder statesman or chancellor.
