Where to get rank pips?

Felderburg

Hello, I'm wondering where to get good quality rank pips. Anovos had them, but that is obviously no longer an option. There's a German website that resells a number of products, including Anovos' pips, but they're a bit pricey, even without overseas shipping. Everything else online seems to be very cheap and thin, or a pin rather than magnetic. Anyone know where I can get some rank pips?

Does it have to be an officially licensed product? Because there is often very well-made stuff on Etsy.
If you are using it for a fan film, though, I believe the guidelines say that licensed products need to be used.

It does not. I've just had my eye on pips for a long time, and now that I'm in place financially to get some, I couldn't find any good quality stuff—but I hadn't thought to look on Etsy, so thanks for reminding me it exists!

You are Harry Kim/Travis Mayweather/Hoshi Sato (delete as appropriate) and I claim my 5 pounds

Funny how that didn't work for Data, thanks to Riker's magnasellaphobia (fear of the big chair).

Good service and good words from your commanding officer, that's how you get rank pips.

This is a true story.

Back when Star Trek: Generations came out in theaters, my sister and I went to the Cinemark in Stephenville to see it opening weekend. The theater manager was dressed in the DS9 uniform style, with commander pips on his collar. After he gave us free miniposters for the movie, I asked why he didn't have the fourth pip to be a captain. He said he "hadn't earned that one yet."

Scared the hell out of me.

How the hell do you earn a rank pip?

Also, last spring, I went to Houston for Star Trek: The Motion Picture - Director's Edition on the big screen. Five folks in the theater, I was the only one in a Star Trek costume. After the movie, I got a compliment for wearing it from one of the women there, but then she went on to give me grief for not having any rank pips on my DS9 style collar. I had to tell her when I first bought my costume, my neck was fatter, and stretched the fabric out. Now, the weight of rank pips pulls the collar down. I need to get a new neck piece thing, I guess.
