Where did I see this?? Please help!

I can't remember where I have seen this scene. It was in either a movie or television show. It involved a ghost or invisible girl who is talking for a while and near the end the guy looks right at her and responds to her. She is shocked and says "you can hear/see me?" He responds with something along the lines that he will "always hear/see her"

I tend to think it is a television series as I recall the girl talking for quite a while without getting any response from the guy.

Any help with this would definitely help me out a lot as it is driving me crazy.

It sounds like the "Name of the Doctor" episode of Doctor Who season 7 (the finale, at that).

In it, River is a ghost (more or less) and is talking to the Doctor, and finally he responds to her, and (as you said) she's shocked that he can hear her, and he of course says "I'll always hear you."
