When will the internet be weather-proof?

Ever since it got really cold the other day, my internet has been so slow. What the hell? It's not even storming. There are no downed power lines or phone lines or anything...it's just cold.

It's particularly annoying because I can't use my PS3 to watch Netflix. Hell, it takes 10-15 seconds just for TrekBBS to load.

I have DSL right now, but I used to have cable internet, and the same thing would always happen in the winter. Haven't we gotten to a point yet where this kind of crap shouldn't happen?

Hmmm, I can't say I've ever experienced delayed internet because of weather conditions. Unless the power has gone out obviously. Actually, my DSL in my current apartment has been really great...neither it nor my wireless network has gone down in about a year and a half...impressive really. At my old apartment it went down about once a month. It's the same company too.
