My weather today went a little something like this:
  • sunny and hot
  • sunny and hot
  • sunny and hot
  • _.*ArMaGeDdOn*._
  • rainy
  • sunny and warm
OK, I exaggerate a little... it wasn't actually the end of the world. But everything was beautiful with hot temperatures, and then all of a sudden we were hit with a really brutal storm: high winds, torrential rain, and thunder that just seemed to go constantly for minutes on end without breaking. I ended up having eight tornado warnings come through on my phone during the storm. (I know others that only got one or two, though, I'm not sure why I kept getting them so frequently.) Funnel clouds were spotted, still waiting to hear if any of them were confirmed to touch down. Trees were knocked down all over the city, including quite a few in my own neighbourhood, which they are still working on cleaning up. Some people are still without power, although we were lucky... our power flickered off like five different times, but always recovered right away, and we didn't have any prolonged outages. All our trees ended up OK, and we didn't seem to suffer any damage.

As for the numbers: our high today was 27C with a humidex of 35, right before the storm, which then dropped down to 20C during and after. Right now, we're at 18C, but our low is expected to drop to 4C (somehow). The Weather Network has reported that the winds during the height of the storm were 90+ km/h.

A calmer, but much less summery day today. A mix of sun and cloud all day. Technically, our high for the day was 20C, but that was right at midnight as the day started. By 2:00am, it was down to 13C and continued to drop until sunrise. Our "daytime" high only got up to 12C. Right now, it is 8C, but feels like 6.
