What are your favourite movie monsters? My list

Creature from Deep Rising. I so wanted that sequel, and would have loved to have seen this guy in a big city munching on folks..

Calvin from the movie Life.

The Blob 1988 version. Sneaky, clever, and horrifying.

Xenomorph from Alien.

Gamera. What's not to love, a flying turtle?

Godzilla. 1990s animated version. Also like the mecha version.

For me, most versions of Godzilla are above and beyond my favorite movie monster. That 1995 T-Rex really wasn't Godzilla, so I'm leaving that one out.

Otherwise, he's changed enough just in the Toho films, that the many looks don't bother me.

I love movie monsters! I grew up with them! How can I choose? Godzilla (all of them, including Zilla), King Kong, Beast from 20000 Fathoms, Gwangi, J.P.'s T-Rex, Jaws, Alien Xenomorph, Predator Yautja, Dracula, Frankenstein, Mummy, Wolf Man, Invisible Man, Gill-man, Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde, Phantom of the Opera, Hunchback of Notre Dame, the Thing, Norman Bates, Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Leatherface, Pinhead, Candyman, Chucky, Hannibal Lecter... Oops, did I get carried away and got off-topic?

Godzilla, Xenomorph (Alien), Yautja (Predator), King Kong, Ringwraiths and their mounts, both horses and fell beasts (Lord of the Rings).

Ooh what about the guys in my avatar? They were funny monsters, and the killer tomatoes.

The mad robot from Chopping Mall.

The other mad robot from Evolver which had a young Q in it.

Xenomorph from Alien.
 Alien 1979 is my fav movie of all-time, so I agree...

Also, The Thign (1982)- Rob Bottin rocks
the werewolves from the original Howling (1981) are also the bomb. Best looking werewolves to grace the silver screen, with all due respect to American Werewolf in London. ;)
and a special nod to Q (1982)- one of Larry Cohen's better flicks, Bone aside.

A few of mine.

The alien from Alien.

The dragon from Dragonslayer. (Vermithrax Pejorative)

The monster from the id in Forbidden Planet. (does that count?)

My top 3 off the top of my head (I could probably think of a good deal more, but just listing quickly)

1. Frankenstein (Universal version)
2. Xenomorph
3. Godzilla

I'm partial to Gamera, myself. The fun thing for me was watching the smoke rising when he was
flying through space!

And why do monsters and kids become friends when the monster is creating catastrophic
destruction? That doesn't seem right to me...

I like many movie monsters, like the Alien from Alien, and the 1980's The Thing.

I also have a soft spot for the Kathoga from the Relic. But also have a great affection for the 1950's giant bugs (Them, The Deadly Mantis etc).

The Giant Claw ......... :) Was a fun movie

The Gilla Monster which mixed horror and a western..
