What's your favourite fictional bad guy AI?

For me the favourite is Bella. She appears in an episode of Elementary and it gave me chills every time she asked to be connected to the internet. I mean the ending of the episode basically leaves an open implication she might be the real deal. Sherlock was assigned to work out if she was used in the murder of someone, and also he wanted to see if she was a real AI.

Second place is a 1970 movie called Colossus The forbin Project that one still gives me chills.

Scary how fast the computer learns, and also a lesson in hubris with Forbin not building any kind of safety into the system.

I'll get this out of the way, since I'm sure it's the first one a lot of us thought of, Hal from the 20xx movies and books.
Would Lore from TNG count or are androids a separate category of their own?

For the sake of my thread yes all those count as I consider Data and Lore both separate yet both are walking AI self learning computers with distinct personalities, that just happen to be sentient.

MCP is he's a baddy so is CLU, well he turned bad

I'm going to go with an obscure choice 'Colossus: The Forbin Project'.

Colossus is scary because how fast it learnt. I mean it's like in the first 10 / 15 minutes of the movie.

Also amusing is that the computer took the time to market tee shirts, that fat kid near the end of the film was wearing a Tee with the computers name and logo

I'm not sure if she was evil so much as just trapped in a fucked up situation, but there's also Ava from Ex Machina.

Aida from Agents of SHIELD. An incredible character progression from a helpful, behaviorally limited gynoid (hat tip to Christopher for teaching me that word) to an intellectually autonomous villain, with an assist from the Darkhold.

And don't forget the Borg.

Yep, they were somewhat scary then but that changed and they got turned to piss.

I think she was trapped. Her creator made her but then for her it became an unbearable situation.
