What's the deal with Megavideo?

It's becomes so damn annoying that there's 72 minutes limit on the video! That prevents me from downloading onto realplayer as well. Why can't they just change their policy, so we can enjoy unlimited videos??

Do you have problem with Megavideo?

I've used it to watch a few episodes of DS9 and Seinfeld in the past-- I find it to be of spectacular quality and speed... but yes, to register would be painfully expensive. I imagine most of their revenue comes from pissed off people who pull out their credit cards when it cuts off their show in the middle

To answer your question, I don't have a "problem" with Megavideo. They can do whatever they like with their service and I can still find online viewing elsewhere (hulu, etc).

I'm not going to pay more than 200 dollars to watch videos on megavideo. All I'm asking is to change their damn policy! Why 200 dollars for all that?!

Of course! It's obscene. But it does get me one full episode of DS9 when I want it :).

I like Megavideo. Occasionally, I have to wait an hour to finish what I'm watching... but that is a minor inconveniance.

It's certainly worth every cent that I've paid for it. ;)

Right! But there is a point to be made that at, say, $15 a month unlimited megavideo would be pretty reasonable (not that I'm an expert on the ratio of cost to bandwidth).

$200! I never knew that. Whenever it stops working on me I just come back later. It helps to only watch TV shows and stay away from the movies though. I think they try and suck you in with their large movie selection.
