Just kidding; but I always think she looks like a Wisconsinite. Or she could even be from around here. Maybe she went back to U. Illinois - Urbana-Champaign instead. 
It was implied she was still around. She was just never shown. Perhaps they were unable to get back the original actress?
actually she died. there was an ep where she was in the delta flier with tom and they got into an accident where voyager couldn't get to them in time. she suffered internal injuries. this is why in later eps she refers to herself being like 7 because she's an orphan. this is also why she's being taken care of by nelix, her godfather.
The end of the episode you're referring to shows Naomi being reunited with her mother in sickbay so she did survive the mission. I've recently rewatched most of the series and don't recall Naomi ever referring to herself as an orphan. She has never met her fater though.
For some reason I was under the impression that she had died. But I couldn't find anything to prove that. According to memory alpha she is still alive, and that she made it home with the crew and also reunited with her husband.
Things got awkward after that night Neelix stayed a little late....
hmm i thought that she did die. i would have sworn i heard her say to seven that they were alike which is why she got attached to her. meh it's been a long time.
I don't recall a conversation like that. Anyone else?

Why? Because niether of them particularly wanted to go back to earth. Seven didn't remember it, and Naomi felt at home on the ship. That is why they were alike. They were both kind of oddballs, really.
But! Samantha Wildman did definately survive. There's probably some reason why she never showed up, not only was she a minor character but the actor was probably doing other stuff. Plot-wise, Naomi was much more important than her mother.

I haven't seen that episode in a while but Neelix should also be immune to the Telepathic Pitcher Plant because he doesn't have an emotional attachment to the AQ.
Doesn't matter, Neelix still desires to be important and useful. That's his weakness.
I agree. Neelix had an emotional attachment to Earth because he cared deeply for the crew and he knew what it meant to them. He left his side of the galaxy to travel with these people and had no effective way of every returning. Unlike Seven and Naomi, he made the decision to head for earth rather having it forced on him.
I found his attachment and deception very realistic.
Samantha Wildman became a skilled and valuable member of the Shuttle And Torpedo Building Team, which among others included Lt.Carey, Dalby, Henley, Gerron, Chell, Vorik, Rollins and the Borg baby.
