What would you think if the Borg showed up on this?

Imagine what they could make the Borg look like with today's special effects? They could make them look look emaciated and disgusting. Think David Cronenberg.

Kinda feel like a mushroom drive that can go anywhere any time powered by not so microscopic, microscopic organism's brain is dangerously close to shark jumping already

I thought it was actually a good episode and lets not forget they did go back the past already in "First Contact" so you could have the Borg come back in time again. It's possible the spore drive might have even come from the Borg or it would be something they want to assimilate.

They had a good reason to be in Enterprise. I can't think of any reason for them to be in this show. And reimagining them could only make them more...generic.

After Officer Daft Punk on the Shenzhou bridge, and this "augmented alien" Airiam on Discovery, feels like we're edging ever closer to there just being an incidental Borg helmsman sitting there.

Though it's also hard for me to picture them looking much better than First Contact Borg. They looked amazing in that movie, with a design that still totally holds up to modern production values.

I wish there was a way we could see the Ferengi on this budget... you could really do a great visual update on them... give them a nice slime sheen...

It was actually executed pretty well considering it was needless fanservice though, tying together First Contact with their eventual appearance in the TNG era.

I thought it was a horrible episode, executed poorly and was an example of Enterprise trying to chase the most popular elements of it's successful predecessor amidst it's own borderline writing.

They dropped the ball here. It could have worked , but they did not act like borg and they allowed the crew to win when they should have had no chance in hell.
