What Would You Recommend Visitors See In Your Town

There, now no one has any reason to visit Detroit (I took this photo in Windsor, so it's not necessary even if you want to see this in person.)
Well, I suppose there are other reasons to visit Detroit, such as playing the games "Find the Five Buildings that Aren't Burnt-Out Husks" and "Who Can Witness the Most Murders in an Hour?"
(I found a sixth building that wasn't technically burned out, although it was on fire at one point, and my record murder witnessing in an hour is 17.)

I don't see any other Seattle-ites here yet, so I guess I'll answer...
Start with he obvious, I guess: Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square (the underground tour), Pacific Science Center, Space Needle, EMP/Sci-Fi Museum, Seattle Art Museum, Safeco Field (really is a gorgeous ball park, even if the Mariners suck), maybe the Museum of Flight down by Boeing Field (has one of the defunct Concords). Some other things I might recommend that aren't as touristy would be checking out the Ballard and Fremont areas, Ballard has a cool Scandinavian Heritage museum and Fremont's just kind of the trendy area of town in a way (and there's the troll under the bridge). Green Lake is also very pretty to walk around when the weather's decent (of course you'll have half of Seattle joining you), and Alki beach down in West Seattle is also nice. Outside of Seattle with a day trip I'd suggest seeing the Ho rain forest over on the peninsula (I remember when I went there the first time when I was 10, it was so awesome) but STAY AWAY from Forks. Unless you're a Twi-Hard it's just a trap. Then again, if you want to get away from Seattle for a day Vancouver, a much more interesting town in the end, is only three hours up I-5. Stay there and make Seattle the day trip.
As for my real hometown, Wenatchee, Washington, I'd suggest forgetting it unless your on the way up to Chelan or Leavenworth. The museum is kind of interesting, with a cool model train of the original railroad routes over the mountains, but that's about the only thing I can really suggest. Lake Chelan and Leavenworth are much better for most outdoor recreation unless you down hill ski in the winter, and even then other mountains within an hour or two drive are better for that. Can you tell I was happy to get out of there?

Ahh, the Dirty 'Shwa. My sympathies. The Canadian Automotive Museum is kind of interesting, though, if you're into cars.

There really is nothing to see in my suburb of Greater Manchester. Keep going 4 miles down the road, and there's all the cool stuff that Manchester city centre has to offer. Where I live - a few pubs, some shops, and a small "arena" for music, comedy, or plays.
Indeed. Screw American history, politics and culture. Go check out the food court and the L.L. Bean store.
