A friend would never do such a thing to me because once he or she did such kind of stuff he or she she would not be my friend anymore.

Define "trashed." Generally speaking, if someone just showed up at a family get-together uninvited and proceeded to act like a complete asshat, I would probably just cut that person out of my life.
But different circumstances would dictate a different reaction.

It depends on what they did and what their intentions/motivations were. I'd have to judge each situation differently depending on the details. If they were completely lacking in regret and refused to apologize/admit that they did anything wrong, it would be very difficult to move forward in our friendship at the same level that we had before.

Just a pain in the ass? Likely silence, then airing complaint, then forgive if the “friend” was sorry. But if the holiday was so totally ruined that his actions would never be forgotten--in a bad way--as part of the friendship’s history or celebrating the holiday? Air complaint (loudly) and end the friendship.

My friends would not do anything like that. And, knowing my family, on the off chance one of them did, they'd invite him in and give him a beer.

But HOW did he "destroy" your Christmas? Give specific examples. And I assume that your family were pissed at you, rather than "they piss at you," which brings up a whole other set of problems.......

Again, you're failing to describe what actually happened. He "destroyed" your family Christmas get together? That sheds no light on what happened. Did he get drunk and puke on your Mom? Well, I could probably get over that. Did he burn your house to the ground and rape your Christmas tree? That'd probably be a relationship ender for me.
