The biggest hole in the defense was shortstop, and I think Cassidey Yates would have both the best range and the best arm for the position.

Poor eyesight. Terrible ballplayer.
What I want to know is why the heck didn't Sisko try and get Odo to play. No rules saying you can't turn yourself into a giant net to catch the ball.
Anyways...
1. Jake Sisko(P) - Figure he has the discipline to work the count and he looks fast. Not to mention Kenny Lofton, one of the game's better lead-off men was one of Cirroc's relatives.
2. Nog (C) - Small as he is, he's a near guaranteed walk.
3. Benjamin Sisko(2B) - If he hits as hard with a bat as he does with his fists....
4. Worf (1B) - Death to the opposition
5. Julian Bashir (LF) - Genetically enhanced run driving in machine
6. Kassidy Yates(3B) - Probably can make solid contact even if not much power.
7. Kira Nerys (SS) - Competent if nothing else.
8. Ezri Dax (CF) - Small, can probably work a walk.
9. Quark (RF) - Another short person to draw a walk
As for the bench I can always tell Rom to lean into one if I need another runner.

If I was serious about proving a point to the Vulcans I certainly wouldn't go exclusively with senior staff and family. Bashir and O'Brien have athletic ability and competitive spirit, Jake has baseball experience. Worf, eh maybe. With some training he could probably hit well. Other than that I'd probably find athletically inclined people from the security staff. I'm sure they have Pareses Squares champions around.
