I'd be happy to have a comedy series set in the Trek universe. Why does every show have to have the same tone? Marvel's Netflix shows are nothing like the movies or that SHIELD series. Mix it up a little. Star Trek : Galaxy Quest sounds fun

The movie was so good I was surprised there was never a sequel. That cast and production team were awesome.

The new Star Trek show that's what happened. Plus that Minority Report show on FOX tanked which Paramount TV was a co-producer with 20th Century Fox TV. So there was probably some reverse decision on bringing back another one time movie as a tv series.

Exactly Dennis. I enjoy working on both Galaxy Quest and Star Trek but even when the major studios spend millions of dollars producing a sequel, about half of the fan base seems unhappy.
