What To Say About Tom Paris?

Frontier

Vice Admiral

So I'm having a bit of a problem coming up with a short, simple thing - a quote or saying or what not - to say about Tom Paris. Something that... I don't know, represents him. See, it's for a signature. For the Doctor, I went with trademark "please state the nature" and for Janeway "set a course for home" and Chakotay, a friend found a nice quote about "a man doesn't own land" and for Tuvok "I am who I am, I can not be any more or less like myself" and for B'Elanna we did this half-and-half thing (as she's a hybrid, lol) of "human/klingon, maquis/starfleet" but... WTF to say about Tom!? :wtf:

I can come up with funny lines easy, but I want something more... expressive about him. He was a rogue, a convict, a traitor who redeemed himself across 7 years and 70,000 light years, and became a trusted starfleet officer, friend, father, and husband... what says THAT only shorter? :p

Thanks anyone/everyone. ;)

"I've never been very good at playing by the rules."

And no, I can't remember what episode that's from. :D

If you hear muffled screams, consider that a request for a beam out. Tom Paris, "Partuition"

The only Klingon I'm afraid of is my wife after she's worked a double shift. Tom Paris, "Prophecy"

Here lies Thomas Eugene Paris, beloved mutant. Tom Paris, "Threshold"

We all have a past. What matters is now. Tom Paris, "Vis-a-Vis"

There's four you might consider choosing from!

Well, I decided not to go with an actual quote, and after a good hour of trying out different things, this is what I came up with...

Opinions? :)

I met McNeill in person last year at Vulkon - pretty cool dude --- hope you find a good quote to use!

That is a good one, not to be nitpicky, but isn't that one from "Fair Trade?" Let me know if I'm wrong.
