What Star Trek Actor(s) have you met?

Hopefully they’ll make their way across the Atlantic one day and attend a European con. From what I’ve seen in videos, Tawny just seems like a super funny, super intelligent person. I’m sure she’s a delight and the life of every party (or stage) she’s on.

Yes she is very thoughtful and smart. We saw her do a panel with Dawnn Lewis and Eugene Cordero. They were very fun.

I don’t know if you would call it meeting them when getting an autograph but maybe it is. Many during the years that my teenage nephew requested I take him to Trek conventions.

All time favorite from being at a convention standing in line for a while to get an autograph: when I finally got up to Louise Fletcher to get her autograph. I smiled at her and said “Thank you for being here” and she smiled back. Then I said “I don’t know who is crazier for being here [at the convention], us or you”. To which she did not miss a beat and was she was signing the autograph she said “Oh, darling it’s you”. My favorite autograph ever.

From meeting them at a non-Star Trek event my favorite is clearly Jeri Ryan. However, I don’t think I can share that story without her consent. <gdr> as they say.

Who I can remember right now:
Met in person for a talk/pics: Plakson, Brophy, Russ, Biggs, Jones, Cruz, Rapp, Rennie, Hertzler, Fincke, Rankin
Talked to at a panel: Frakes, Spiner, Auberjonois, Trineer, Keating, Sirtis, Shatner, Armstrong, Wang, Goldstein, Krige
Was in the same room with :D : Stewart, McFadden, Dorn, Wheaton, Burton, Combs, Nichols, Koenig, many others

Never met a single one of them (AFAIK).

Never been to a Star Trek convention, either. I might when one would be in my neighbourhood (but there are less of them in Europe, where I live), or when I'm in the US anyway, but I'm not traveling across half the world just to visit one.

I’ve been to a few conventions where she appeared. On her autograph table she had a sign that said something to the effect of “I’m 6 feet tall. No reason to ask.”
A friend of mine who's 6'2" was fortunate enough to have a dance with her at a con. He said he wasn't used to having a dance partner who could look him in the eye.

I've met most of the ones everybody who's been to a convention in the past 40 years has met: Majel, Tiny Ron (whose schtick is that his autographed pictures are postage-stamp-sized -- "tiny"pictures), and a few others.

I've met Jimmy Doohan (which is how I know that he wasn't very happy about "Mr. Scott's Guide" getting released without his getting so much as a how-do-you-do), and Patti Tallman (who appreciated my Vorlon lighbulb joke), and Camille Saviola, and Chase Masterson. And Mark Lenard. And Nichelle. And I've had scripts autographed by their authors.

And I think I briefly encountered Dee on my way in or out of a Men's Room at a convention, but we both had other business to take care of, so I respected what little privacy he had as a featured guest at the convention.

I'm not saying that's not true but he didn't mention it when he signed my copy.

At this date I'm a little embarrassed that it's signed by Doohan and Probert but not Johnson.

Well, the other thing about quite probably everybody I've ever met who was ever connected with the production of Star Trek is that they're all very nice people.

I wish I could have met Dee. We share a birthdate and a birthplace. So that could have been a conversation starter.

I've seen Mulgrew, Dorn, Sirtis, Wheaton, Wang, Takei, Farrell, Spiner, Gorshin and Urban.

I've talked to Nimoy (thanks to Skype), Doohan, Nichols, Auberjonois, Burton, DiLancie, Picardo, Phillips, Kellerman, Lockwood, Bouchet and Michael Forrest.

I slept through most of William Shatner. He was too horsey-oriented that day. So I spent an extra 25 to sleep in the same room with him (accidentally).

I've seen many actors on stage at cons and the like. I've talked to Cirroc Loften, Chase Masterson, Robert O'Reilly, JG Hertzler, the actress who played Nacheav, Aron Eisenberg, Bonnie Gordon (Voice of the Prodigy Computer), Anthony Rapp, Emily Coutts, Tawny Newsome (The day after I saw the Lower Decks Season 3 premiere), Doug Jones, and Anthony Montgomery and Garrett Wang. I've had a picture taken with Jeri Ryan, Jeffrey Combs, and Robert O'Reilly (As Gowron).

That's what happens when you go to the Las Vegas Con every year since 2016, (Not 2020)

That was earlier this year at the SF Con right? When they started talking about Pocket Pagers? Best Panel ever.
