What song would you have used as the Discovery theme?

Love it or hate it, the Discovery theme has got people talking. If it was up to you, what song or type of music would you have chosen for the main titles?

This is my pick:

Aptly, named 'Flight' this beautiful piece goes pretty well with the title sequence but i could imagine it also going pretty well with a more voyager-esque title sequence.

I would in any case pick an original piece of music over something existing. Jeff Russo's theme has been a grower for me, and I already cannot imagine DSC without it.

I don't hate Discovery's theme, but what I would do is make an original orchestral piece that combines the theme of the original series with a new original orchestral for Discovery. No vocals. No country music. No weird moody Game Of Thrones stuff. Just mix a bit of the space hippy TOS with a new theme that is Discovery's.

The original theme music they are using is great, the only thing I would change is removing the motives of the classic TOS theme at the beginning and even more important at the end. They overshadow the the rest of the theme too much, imho.

I would leave it as is, I like it a lot. After 4 years of watching enterprise opening credits don't really want any more songs in the opening credits

Literally a song, a piece of music with singing and lyrics? No, thanks.

OTOH, if they wanted minimalism, they should have shelled out a little do-re-mi for Michael Nyman.

Well since the ship is a reject from the movie era, the clear choice for the theme song is the unused TNG theme.
