Go see a movie, see a play, have dinner, or find a church service. Those are the things that most readily come to mind.

It's bad enough that we are posting on the Trekbbs. We should be getting out on Friday instead of watching sci-fine on a Friday night.
Booze, girls, and music give me a headache these days. I suggest: Cinema Meal out Shop for special ingredients and a cook meal in, followed by sticking in a DVD Play cards or boardgames with friends Go for a long walk in the city Phone and catch up with favourite relatives Get down to any outstanding DIY Spend the evening grooming yourself: exfoliating your entire body with a loofah (makes you feel like a million dollars), filing and polishing your nails, conditioning your hair with a homemade conditioner, removing excess body hair, home tooth whitening kits... ^ Not to say that I think you need all that! Just helps to pass the time and lift the spirit sometimes... I guarantee after all that you'll feel like you had a very full evening and be ready for bed. Costs less than wine, women, and song, and no hangover too!
The scented bath is running (to be enjoyed with Harry Potter) as I type, darn tooth whitening kit hasn't come through from Ebay yet (I kid you not one is on the way) but I have lots of other potions and lotions to play with. Then series 5 of Sex and The City ~ man is obviously out and a slinky nightie and a bottle of Baileys to slip into Hmmm Relax... And JW get dressed up and go to a bar and chat someone up, if it doesn't work repeat as advised and have fun
Have no fear, I will be doing this, but the bars around here close at 4am, so I have to fill my night with other stuff too. I don't want to hang around the bar for 8 hours. And last time I went bar hopping, well, I woke up the next day not remembering exactly what happened, but with strange, "souvenirs".
I'm so ultra bored myself and really wanna go out. But my friends are saying they're too tired and can't be bothered. Can't watch BSG as I'm in Blighty. I can't face another night with the DVD player, there's nothing but crapola on TV... god

A couple of days ago I started another play-through of StarCraft in preparation for the release of the sequel later this year (hopefully). I intend to engage the Protoss in battle tonight. And I'll probably spend an hour or two chatting with friends on IM.
I wanted to go watch the semi-finals of Queer Idol and Goodhandy's bar, but my friend couldn't come at the last minute and I don't want to tease all the gay guys in the bar by going in alone. You could come with me and we'll pretend we're married....
Your taste is impeccable, apart from the Harry Potter part... I would love to have a long salty bath, as everything aches after what must have been at least a ten mile walk today! Too bone tired to do anything but slip into bed, and surf from there. A large icy helping of caramel Baileys wouldn't go astray right now...
