Let's see who turns out to be right in the end.

I voted July.

Between editing at home and getting creative with how to record the music, I think it'll take until about then.

I actually think that it could be in May, because we already got a lot of episode titles for this season.

Something that only happened shortly before the release, if we look at Picard and the first two seasons of Disco...

I think episodes will be ready sometime later in the summer, but feel like they'll wait until September.

I expect it's going to depend on how quickly post for it and Lower Decks can proceed given work restrictions. As I understand, while jobs for things like FX can be run on the render servers remotely, even with a good home workstation it slows things down a lot because of connectivity issues and more difficulty doing pre-render setup. CBS will probably try to stagger things so that there's not too much of a gap in either direction.

June: Lower Decks
September: Discovery
(Discovery and Lower Decks may flip flop depending of which one is ready first)
2021: Picard (s2), Section31, Pike, Lower Decks (s2), Short Treks (s3)
2022: Discovery (s4), Prodigy, Picard (s3)

I predict it will be 30 days after they can get musicians back into the recording studio. That being said, I guess September.

Inside sources tell me that Discovery has actually been secretly cancelled. Kurtzman has been fired, and CBS is about to issue an apology and/or refunds and declare all of the so-called "Discoverse" as non-canon.
They will remove all references to it from CBS All Access, then dispatch Men In Black with Neuralizers to wipe the memory from every subscriber.

But suppose we don’t think about this at all and simply wait for it to happen whenever, watch the show week to week and then forget about it until the next season is released (if at all)?

Well, then you might like something I plan to have coming down the pipeline eventually.

Have you met Trek fans?

I've started to see commercials on the Canadian Sci-fi channel that carries all Trek, including the new stuff only available on streaming platforms elsewhere in the world. If I go by Picard, I'd say it's at least another 3 months, more likely 5, away. But of course, just a guess.

IIRC, those commercials started the night of the Picard finale, so using your 3-5 month model that could mean late June to August.
