Apparently, this film will only star Simon Pegg, Zachary Quinto and Leonard Nimoy (and NOT William Shatner). What a bold experiment, a whole film based on Spock and Scotty, I hope it works.

...It seems to me either he owns the entire Star Trek Franchise, or he has the largest starring role in this film.
Seriously though, I have no problem with the fact that only a select few have been tapped (at different times) to be the spokesperson for this film. A while ago, Anton Yelchin was all over the place because his film Charlie Bartlett was opening, then it was Karl Urban because his Lonesome Dove TV miniseries was premiering. Simon Pegg has been in the spotlight quite a bit because he had a two movies open this year.
The constants have been Nimoy, Quinto, and Orci...Nimoy for obvious reasons, Quinto because of his Heroes exposure and Sci-fi fan status, and Orci because he seems to be the best at saying the right things.
